Get Involved

Volunteering can be a way to increase skills, meet new people and give back to the community. Volunteers have always been important to the operations of Sturt Football Club, and we have traditionally attracted people from a range of backgrounds to help live our Club vision – to be acknowledged in all respects as the premier club of the SANFL.

Due to the volume of interest versus the limited number of volunteering opportunities available at the Club, only applicants being considered for a volunteering opportunity will be contacted. Most volunteer roles will be locked in at the beginning of the year for a 1 year term. Should you not be successful in securing volunteer duties with us at the beginning of the year we would like your permission to keep your details on our talent file to contact you should anything become available.

From time to time we require additional volunteers. Please check back regularly to view current requirements.

  1. Submit a Volunteer Application online, in person, by post or by email.
  2. Current vacancies are matched to your skills and experience – you will be contacted if your application matches current vacancies
  3. General orientation and induction is provided prior to commencement.
  4. Specific training is then undertaken within the volunteer program for which you have been recruited.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF COUNTRY

Sturt Football Club is located in part of the traditional lands for the Kaurna people and we respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We acknowledge the Kaurna people as the traditional custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
