Sturt Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of former Essendon listed player and Sturt junior, Jordan Houlahan
Jordan is a 20 year old, 186cm medium forward who can also play through the midfield. Drafted to Essendon with pick 49 from Sturt in 2017, he spent two years on the Essendon AFL list. Jordan led the goalkicking in Essendon’s VFL side in 2019 with 23 goals and took VFL Mark of the Year in 2019.
Football Manager Chris Trapp said of the signing, “It’s always great to have local players return to the Club after an opportunity at AFL level. Jordan was a member of the 2017 Sturt U18s and Reserves Premierships so it will be an easy transition for him returning already having good relationships with many of the playing group. I’m sure Jordan’s marking and goalkicking capabilities will excite Sturt fans for years to come.”
We welcome Jordan and his family back to the Club and look forward to him being a part of a bright future at Sturt Football Club.
