The Sturt Football Club community is deeply saddened by the passing of Heather Dillon on July 22nd, following a long and courageous battle with illness. Heather’s enduring commitment and selfless contributions to our Club have left an indelible mark on all of us.
A regular at our games, Heather’s presence was a source of warmth and encouragement for everyone. After relocating from Cherry Gardens to Parkside, she dedicated her time to the Club in various capacities, always with a cheerful disposition and a generous spirit. Heather volunteered tirelessly, ensuring that our match day aprons, towels, and bin covers were always impeccably clean and ready for use. Her meticulous care extended to the less glamorous tasks, including cleaning the match day toilet facilities in the Jack Oatey Stand, a duty she performed with unwavering dedication until just a year ago.
Heather is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, who continues to be an integral part of the Baggies volunteer group. The Sturt Football Club extends its deepest sympathies to Stephen and the entire Dillon family during this difficult time.
