In Memoriam – Nick Kopsaftis

Sturt Football Club extends its deepest condolences to the family and many friends of lifelong Double Blues supporter Nick “Boochie” Kopsaftis, who recently passed away following a courageous battle with illness 04/05/1966 – 12/07/2026.

Nick faced his illness with the same strength, determination and resilience that defined the way he lived his life, inspiring those around him with his unwavering spirit.

A proud Unley local, Nick’s connection to both the community and Sturt Football Club spanned a lifetime. Growing up in Cremorne Street before raising his own family in Dunks Street, he lived and breathed the Unley community and was immensely proud to call it home.

His passion for the Double Blues never wavered. A long-time season ticket holder, Boochie stood by Sturt through every triumph and every challenge. Whether the Club was celebrating premiership success or rebuilding for the future, he was there, proudly wearing the Double Blue colours and passionately supporting his beloved Club.

Nick’s friendly nature, infectious enthusiasm and genuine love for Sturt made him a familiar and much-loved figure around Unley Oval. His commitment to the Club and the community will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

On behalf of everyone at Sturt Football Club, we extend our sincere condolences to Nick’s family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Boochie. Your unwavering loyalty to the Double Blues will never be forgotten.
