As a full back, David played both junior and senior football for Sturt until the early 90’s.
David has been involved in IT for more than 25 years, he started his business in Melbourne over 25 years ago and has been back in Adelaide for the last 15 years.
He still keeps active by playing touch footy each week, where he still manages to find a bit of form.
On his best memories of the Club
“I have lots but the camaraderie of the club in 1988 and the lifelong friends I made during my time at Sturt.”
On advice for current players
“Don’t take your time in the game for granted. I remember Colin Casey (my under 19’s and reserves coach) telling me that our footy goes quickly (even quicker when injury strikes you down)….he was so right because it was over in a blink and I wish that I had not taken it so flippantly.”
