Where Are They Wednesday – Clint Giles

As a ruck and forward, Clint Giles played at Sturt from 1974 – 1978. He then worked for ETSA as a linesman originally and went back to university to become a teacher. He is now retired and still attends Sturt home games.

On his best memories of the Club

“My father and uncle were former players and life members of Sturt. I just loved playing and training finals time. Used to get big crowds watching training and it was an amazing atmosphere after the 1974 and 1976 Grand Final wins back at the Club. I was lucky to have great coaches and mentors during those days – D. Hicks, J. Halbert, R. Shearman and of course J. Oatey.”

On advice for current players

“Enjoy every moment, it is over before you know it.”
