Two AFLW talents land at Sturt

The Club is pleased to announce Angela Foley and Georgia Bevan will be joining the Sturt Women’s team in 2022.

Foley is a two-time AFLW premiership player for the Adelaide Crows, as well as the inaugural co-vice-captain. She was appointed the Grand Final Captain in 2021 after Chelsea Randall was ruled out due to a concussion.

“We are excited to have a player of Ange’s caliber here at the club. Her leadership and coaching experience will be extremely valuable to our playing group,” said Senior Women’s Coach Bruce Dawes.

Bevan returns to Sturt after playing in the AFLW with Gold Coast Suns as an injury top-up player in 2021. She was Co-Captain of Sturt from 2019-20 and Best & Fairest in 2019.

“Georgia brings a wealth of experience back to our team, and her dedication to her craft is second to none,” said Dawes.

Please join us in welcoming Angela, Georgia and their families to Sturt.
