Sam Wundke has advised the Club he is retiring from SANFL football to pursue career opportunities interstate and overseas.
Wundke joined Sturt in 2020. He finishes his SANFL career having played 72 League Matches (42 Sturt, 30 North Adelaide).
In 2020 he came second in the P.T. Morton Medal, was awarded the Ray Kutcher Best Team Man and selected in The Advertiser Team of the Year. He was also a member of the Senior Men’s Leadership Group in 2022.
“We are grateful for Sam’s contribution to Sturt,” said Football Manager Chris Trapp. “His composure and tenacity in the back line was a great asset, and we will miss his character in our playing group.”
