The Sturt Football Club are excited to announce the signing of Jy Farrar.
Jy is a 22 year old, 190cm athletic forward who can also play on the wing. In season 2019 he was a SANFL Adelaide Crows top up player and featured in 2 League games. He also played with Scotch Old Collegians in the Adelaide Football League winning their Club Best and Fairest Award. Jy hails from Halls Creek in WA and is a cousin of ex Sturt and current Crows player Shane McAdam. He tested in the AFL State Combine Draft screening on the weekend posting some excellent results particularly in the 20m sprint (3rd overall, 2.9 seconds) and the vertical jump tests (4th overall, 81cm).
Senior Coach Nathan Grima said of the signing, “We are excited to bring Jy to the Club. His speed and athleticism will give us some X-factor and I’m sure he’ll provide us with some exciting moments in season 2020 and beyond.”
