Sturt signs Dean Gore

Sturt Football Club are excited to announce the signing of former Adelaide Crows and Geelong Cats AFL listed player, Dean Gore.

Dean is a 23 year old, strong bodied midfielder who can also play across half back or half forward.

Dean was drafted in 2014 from Sturt at pick #55 to Geelong Football Club at the end of that season he was traded to Adelaide Football Club where he played two seasons.

He has spent the past 2 season playing in the VFL with Geelong.

The Club is pleased to have Dean back as he is a locally zoned Sturt player originally from the Hahndorf Football Club.

“We are excited to have Dean back to the Club. He will fit in with the group perfectly and already has a good relationship with many of the players having come through Sturt’s junior program. The leadership he will bring to the group coming from an AFL system will be invaluable,” said Senior Coach Nathan Grima.

We welcome Dean and the Gore family back to the Club and look forward to seeing him in Double Blue again for the 2020 Season.
