The Club is pleased to announce the signing of Hamish Latchford.
Latchford a 184cm half back/wing who became available after the AFL directed Adelaide not to field a team in this year’s SANFL competition due to COVID-19.
Latchford played 12 SANFL games with Adelaide for the first half of 2019 before a hamstring injury saw him sit out the remainder of the season.
Senior Coach, Nathan Grima describes 22 year old Latchford as a quality player who due circumstances out of everybody’s control now finds himself at Sturt.
“I liked what I saw in Latchford when he was playing with Adelaide and am rapt to have him here at Sturt.
“There will be some interesting selection nights with the quality of players I have to choose from.
“Last night was his first night on the track with us. He is extremely fit after completing a full pre-season with Adelaide and knows most of the boys in our squad so it is a win/win for all.”
