Phil Carman and Seamus Maloney Awarded SANFL Player/Coach Life Membership

We are pleased to announce that Phil Carman and Seamus Maloney were both made SANFL Player/Coach Life Members on Tuesday night.

“Fabulous” Phil Carman played 58 games for Norwood and was Sturt Senior Coach from 1995-2001. He was instrumental in rebuilding the playing list, breaking a 26 game losing streak and elevating the Club to regular finals appearances.

Seamus Maloney played 152 games for Sturt between 1996-2003, and was Senior Coach from 2023-2015. As a player, he won the PT Morton Medal in 2001 and was Acting Captain for the 2002 Premiership.

Player/Coach Life Memberships can be awarded to any person who has participated in 200 SANFL games as coach, or player/coach.

We congratulate Phil and Seamus on their achievements.
