Morning Tea with Marty was held Friday December 1, in the Thomas Room and proudly sponsored by Alfred James & Sons, Unley.
The event was a resounding success, with an impressive turnout of over 120 people. Special guest Christine Halbert, during her address, shed light on the remarkable initiatives undertaken by the SANFL History Centre to preserve and document the rich history of South Australian Football.
Senior Coach Marty Mattner and CEO Sue Dewing took the stage, engaging in a lively exchange of insights on both on and off-field matters. The dynamic Q&A session saw a myriad of questions from our patrons, touching on various topics such as the 2024 rucking prospects, club finances, AFL Reserves & and mid-season draft, concussion protocols, Unley Oval turf upgrade, and pre-season training, among others.
The highlight of the morning was the delightful My Vintage High Tea Party collection, featuring an exquisite array of teapots, silverware, and tableware designs that complemented the scrumptious fare of tea and pastries. Special mention goes to the dedicated staff and the assistance provided by Marty Mattner in preparing freshly baked scones, adding a personal touch to the event.
Due to the overwhelming positive response, we are excited to announce that we plan to host similar events next year. Stay tuned for more details so you can secure your spot early and avoid disappointment.
Once again, we extend our sincere gratitude to Alfred James & Sons, Unley, for their generous sponsorship, and to all our members for making this event a memorable and successful one.
