The club advises that an MRI scan at Fowler Simmons Radiology on Monday revealed a significant injury of Joel Thiele’s left semi-membranosus (hamstring) tendon following an injury sustained in the 3rd Quarter of Saturday’s league match at Wigan Oval.
He will undergo surgical repair of the tendon today at Sportsmed with Dr. Shahram Shahrokhi. We anticipate that the rehabilitation from this injury and surgery will rule Joel out of the remainder of the 2022 season.
The club thanks Sportsmed for their care of Joel and Fowler Simmons Radiology for fitting in Joel for immediate MRI imaging.
