Sturt Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Eloise Mackereth for the 2027 SANFLW season. 💙🩵
Eloise joins the Double Blues from Glenelg, where she has established herself as an exciting forward at SANFLW level after making her League debut at just 15 years of age.
A hard-running forward with strong goal sense and an ability to impact around goal, Eloise has already played 36 SANFLW League games. She was Glenelg’s leading goalkicker in 2024 and joint leading goalkicker in 2026, and has also been selected in the AFL National Academy and represented South Australia at Under 18 level.
Eloise also arrives at Unley with a strong family connection to the Double Blues. Her grandfather John Mackereth and great-uncle Max Mackereth are both past Sturt players, while her father Brett Mackereth also has his own history with the Club, winning the McCallum Medal in 1979. Eloise now has the opportunity to add her own chapter to the Mackereth family’s history at Sturt. Eloise now makes the move to Unley to continue her football with the Double Blues and add further strength to Sturt’s forward line.
Women’s Football Coordinator Jackson Lane said 🗣️
“We’re really excited to welcome Eloise to Sturt. She’s an exciting young footballer who has already built plenty of experience at SANFLW level and we believe she still has a lot of development ahead of her. We’re looking forward to seeing what she can bring to our group in 2027.”
Welcome to the Double Blues, Eloise. 💙🩵
