On Friday the 25th of April the Sturt Football Club attended the Unley dawn service to honour the service men and women that sacrificed so much for the freedom and way of life we take for granted in Australia today.
All senior listed players were in attendance together with the coaching staff, Chief Executive Officer and Club President.
At the conclusion of the service co-captains Jade Sheedy and Ben Nelson laid a wreath in honour of our fallen service men and women. The players then cooked the BBQ, cleared tables and washed the dishes at the Sturt Bowling Club breakfast for special guests and returned service men and women. It is a great way for the Club to contribute to the local community and show their support for the Australian Defence Forces.
A great morning was had by all.
